Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, old boleros and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. Ana began to learn how to play and sing in the early years together with her mom. The formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. When she moved to the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she relocated to Southern California. She's a regular solo performer for private events and parties and performs classical Latin American Music. As a local performer and instructor, her love of music and art keeps her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana is also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially in the younger generations in keeping the music alive.
